Protest growing over record exports
The outcry over raw sign exports is getting louder after protestors learned timber is being exported not just from Port Alberni, but also via ports in Cowichan Bay in addition to Nanaimo.
Alberni Qualicum MLA Scott Fraser, who attended an anti log export rally with Nanaimo Monday, said forest workers and residents are mad Victoria has not lived up to it is promise to revitalize the forest industry on the Western world Coast.
